McCarthy Law allows credit report errors to be disputed for free

McCarthy Law offers a free new approach to credit repair

Scottsdale, Ariz. – More than a third of Americans find errors that can affect their credit score, according to a new Consumer Reports Survey. Mistakes on your credit report can lead to an artificially low credit score, which can affect a person’s chances of getting a loan or credit card and influence the amount of interest they pay. With this in mind, many people take steps to remove incorrect marks from their credit report. McCarthy Law is now offering a new approach to credit repair that will help them fix credit report errors for free with a no-cost promise.

Many credit repair companies will sell a service to try to remove errors from the credit report. This process usually involves the company sending stern letters to the credit bureaus in hopes that they will fix the problem, while continuing to pay them expensive fees every month. McCarthy Law’s approach to litigation is not only easier and faster, but also completely free. They will dispute any errors with two possible outcomes:

  1. The error is removed, which means that the credit score will increase and the customer will pay nothing.

  2. The error is not removed. At this point, instead of another dispute letter which will likely produce the same result, the customer has another option: take legal action against the credit bureau that has not corrected the error. Once again, the customer pays nothing out of pocket; McCarthy Law is paying to file the lawsuit. In most cases, the error is then corrected very quickly.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is a federal law that governs the use of consumer credit information to protect consumers from inaccurate information on their credit reports. The process is simple. When a person notices that something is incorrect in their credit report, they will send a dispute letter to the credit bureau before taking any legal action against their creditor or the credit bureau . At McCarthy Law, they will send this letter on behalf of the client. According to the law, the creditor must then carry out a reasonable investigation. If they don’t, they can sue them. McCarthy Law will also take this action on behalf of the client.

Under the FCRA, defendants must pay reasonable fees and expenses, and this litigation will cost them nothing. When the McCarthy law settles damages, the settlement will pay for the lawsuit, and they may even end up with a profit of between $1,000 and $2,500 in most cases, depending on the number of defendants named in the lawsuit. The error will then be removed and your credit score will increase.

Some of the errors that McCarthy Law focuses on are:

– Credit report showing a balance owing on a settled or paid account

– The report showing a balance after the creditor discharged the debt with a 1099-C

– Duplicate accounts on credit report

– Debt buyer and original creditor both declaring a balance due

– An unknown account on your report

– A short sale listed as a foreclosure

– Discharge accounts have balance after bankruptcy

– An account too old to report is listed

– Your information is mixed with someone else’s information on your report

– An authorized user report shows all user activity, not just the authorized user.

Kevin McCarthy, Managing Partner of McCarthy Law, says, “About 40 million consumers have an error on one of their credit reports. It is difficult to get these errors corrected because credit reporting agencies devote limited resources to dealing with errors and the investigations they conduct are often inadequate. Worse still, these uncorrected errors often cause problems in your daily life, such as paying higher interest rates on loans, paying higher insurance costs, and having difficulty finding a job. This is not acceptable and we can do something about it. No one ever needs to suffer the terrible consequences of a credit report error again. »

An error in the credit file could lead to lower credit scores and affect a person’s ability to open a new credit account or obtain a loan. Disputing credit report errors and having those negative items removed can be a quick way to get a better score. However, do not pay for credit repair or waste time and money on anyone who wants to charge you for disputes that we will resolve for free. At McCarthy, our new approach will help people eliminate the burden of an incorrect credit score at no cost to them. Contact us today to learn more during a free consultation.
